There were times that Linda just enjoyed driving by herself. Away from the hustle of the office, the cell phone turned off and hidden in her purse, she could just enjoy the countryside.
But today was something special. Linda was heading to her new job in California, and she’d decided that, instead of flying it, she’d drive, drive the old back roads instead of sticking to the big interstates with their soulless procession of chain diners, hotels and ‘souvenir’ shops that were lucky to have a single item that hadn’t been made in China.
Linda had enough of that in the big cities. The cities that never got quiet, where people would never just let you be. Granted, she liked making money, being an executive in charge of an entire department, but Linda sometimes thought that it would be nice to just find a quiet place to settle down and live in.
“Like that’s going to happen,” Linda said to herself as the wind whipped through her curly brown hair, the setting sun casting its light across the endless fields of grain she was driving through. She hadn’t seen a single car since she’d turned off the main road onto this old two-lane highway, her convertible probably the newest car to have driven on it since it had been made. There were a few farmhouses scattered here and there, but most of them looked abandoned, their children leaving for the same shining cities that Linda had lived in for most of her life. The decaying structures had a sad, abandoned look, as if they were pining for their children to come back home and once again fill them with life.
Linda shook her head at that. She was certainly getting morose now, wasn’t she?
“I guess it’s the empty road,” Linda said to herself and then frowned. The map had said that she had about another hour before this road hit the next little town, and it’d be dark by then. She didn’t mind driving off the beaten track, but on the other hand, once the sun set, the place could be dark save for the starlight, so she hoped she’d find a hotel before she had to risk getting plowed by a driver with his lights off…
In fact… Linda looked up at a flash in her rear view mirror and blinked. There was a car, rapidly gaining on her. Before long, tiny car resolved into a black and white police unit, that pulled up just behind her convertible, before it flashed its lights at her.
I couldn’t be driving too fast for this road, Linda thought. On the other hand, another little bit of tradition about driving off the beaten path was to run into speed traps. She sighed. I hope it isn’t too expensive. Pulling to the side of the road, she turned off the engine and waited for the police officer to get out of his car and tell her what she’d done wrong.
***
Surprisingly, the police car also turned off its engine. That wasn’t normal, since most cops expected that they might have to immediately pursue whoever they had stopped, but maybe here they had different policies. Linda shrugged as she adjusted her shirt, unbuttoning the first two buttons. Linda didn’t always make use of her large breasts, but when you were talking the difference between a warning and a ticket, showing off some boob-flesh was always a good idea. It had also helped her get where she was in the company, after all. Finally, she pulled her ID and license out and put it on the seat next to her. One thing you learned in the city was cops didn’t like it when people suddenly dug into purses that could hold other things, such as a gun.
And then the driver’s side door opened and the cop got out.
Woof, Linda thought. He was tall, broad-shouldered, his eyes covered by mirrored sunglasses. His uniform looked like it had been designed to accentuate his powerful build, showing off the play of his muscles as he walked forward. Linda was so entranced at the sight in her rear view mirror that she almost lost track of the other police officer who had gotten out of the car.
This one was female, no doubt about it, a pair of breasts nearly as big as Linda’s pressing out her shirt, shoulder-length blond hair moving slightly in the breeze. She took up a position behind the other officer, almost like she was following him and…
Wait a minute. She’s wearing a miniskirt? I didn’t think any police department dressed their female officers in miniskirts these days…
But it wasn’t just the miniskirt, Linda realized. The woman wasn’t armed, her broad, silver belt looking almost like a costume belt. Not only that, but she didn’t have any badge.
Maybe she’s a ride along? Some sort of cadet? She looks a little old…
And then the male officer, the one in charge, Linda knew, was at her window, staring down at her as he pulled his sunglasses off, revealing a pair of powerful gray eyes.
Gray eyes that were casually roaming over her body, in a way that she might have found offensive, except that for some reason, it was turning her on.
“Hello, Ma’am,” he said, the strong voice sending little shivers through Linda’s body. “Can I see your license and registration?”
“Yes, sir,” Linda said, reaching over and handing the items over to the officer. He looked at them, then handed them to the girl behind him.
“Check this, Cindy,” he told her, his voice commanding.
“Yes sir,” she said in a soft, submissive voice and then ran back to the car, her curvy hips swaying every step of the way.
Someone is sleeping with her partner, Linda thought with a mental grin. Well, who was she to talk. The patrols out here were probably really boring.
“So, you seem to be off the beaten path,” he said. “Any reason you’re driving down here?”
“I hate just driving on the interstate,” Linda replied honestly. “I just prefer the countryside.”
“I see,” the man said. “Well, I’m officer Michaels, that the lovely little lady is my partner.” His lips curved into a smile at the word “partner.” But it’s awfully easy to get lost out here, especially since so many towns don’t have road services anymore. Where are you heading?”
“California,” Linda replied. “I had a transfer to there from New York.”
“Well, you are taking the long way around,” Michaels said. “No family to come with you?”
“I’m single,” Linda said with a smile, moving to bring her breasts into greater prominence.
“Ah, well that can be a fun life, but sometimes a lonely one.” Michaels turned to see Cindy come trotting back up to him, her tits bouncing in a way that let Linda know that she wasn’t wearing a bra, the impression of her nipples clear, even through the heavy fabric of her shirt. Not only that, but she’d unbuttoned a couple of her own shirt buttons, mirroring Linda’s action, revealing an expanse of cleavage that made her look more like some exotic dancer in a cop’s costume rather than a real police officer.
It was then that Linda noticed that she was wearing a choker—almost a collar, really, and nestled at the hollow of her throat was a little silver badge. It looked more like a little slave collar than it did an actual police officer’s badge but…
“Her ID came back clear, sir,” Cindy said in a soft voice. With an odd glance at Linda, she gestured at the car. “But it did come up for a random check.”
“Ah yes, we always have to show we’re doing our job, don’t we, Cindy.”
“Oh, yes, sir.”
“Ma’am,” he said to Linda, “I hate to do this, but we’ve got a random drug screen program, and when the computer says we have to, we have to, no choice in the matter. It’ll just take about thirty seconds, especially since we have some nice new doohickey’s to do it with.”
“I—” Linda frowned then nodded. When a cop told you to do something, you never won by arguing it at the stop. Besides, it didn’t sound like anything serious, and Linda certainly wasn’t drunk or high. “Okay,” she said as she got out of the car, enjoying the way Michaels looked down at her nicely shaped legs and short skirt.
Not just Michaels. She caught a glimpse of Cindy licking her lips. I guess she’s into girls as well as guys…
Then, Michaels held out a small cylinder. “Stare into this,” he said. Linda found herself immediately looking into the cylinder, obedient to the tone of command in Michaels’ voice. He touched a button on it, and a red light flashed out, pulsing as it ran over her eyes.
Linda started to say something, but found herself unable to tear her eyes away from that pulsing light.
Pulse.
“You’re not on drugs, are you…”
Pulse.
“No,” Linda said, focusing on that light.
Pulse.
“Good. Watch the light, little lady.”
Pulse.
Watch the light, Linda giggled. It was such a pretty light.
“Any boyfriends, fiancees? “
Pulse.
“No.” Linda giggled again. It was just so easy to talk while she was watching the light. She noticed that Cindy had one hand under her skirt.
Oh. That was why girl officers wore a skirt. What a neat idea. In fact, Linda felt sort of horny now. She wanted to…
Pulse.
All the thoughts ran out of her head, leaving a wonderful, calming void behind.
“So nobody who will wonder if you take some time out here, maybe even change your plans…”
Pulse.
“Nope!” Linda said happily. She loved that light. She didn’t have to worry about doing anything or making any decisions at all. She wished she’d had that wonderful light before today.
“Good, now little lady, I’m gonna tell you a few things, and when I finish, you’re not going to remember me telling you, but you’re gonna want to do them, right?”
“Okay!” Linda said.
“Good…”

“And that’s it for your roadside test,” Michaels said.
Linda started. Finished? I hadn’t even started the test yet! But Cindy was in the car, and Michaels was putting the gadget back into his belt. Oh, God, did I doze off in front of him? That’d be embarrassing, to say nothing of being worth a ticket…
“Boring, isn’t it,” Michael’s said. “Why don’t you head on off now…”
Linda felt a surge of worry. What if she didn’t get to the interstate before night fell. Night was scary. She needed to be in a town before nightfall.
“Is there a place around here where I can stay for the night?” she said, biting her lip as Michael’s looked down at her. God he was sexy…
“Well, there’s Centerville, about 45 minutes down the road,” Michaels said.
Linda felt a sexual thrill run through her body. The very word, Centerville seemed to turn her on. She needed to get there, to spend the night there, to… to stay there for a while.
Yes. Stay there for a while. See the sights. She’d come this way to see things, and she could see lots of things at Centerville.
If she stayed there for a while.
“Thank you, sir!” Linda said as she started the car, smoothly accelerating out onto the road, heading for Centerville.
“Master, was I a good girl today?” Cindy asked.
“Why that you were,” Michael’s said with a chuckle. “And tonight, maybe I’ll reward you for it.”
“Oh, thank you, sir,” Cindy said, a trickle of fluid rolling down her inner thigh.
Michaels chuckled at his former superior. Maybe, he’d reward her. Or maybe he’d just make her spend the night in her room until she begged him for release. Either was fun. “Now get on into the car. I think I’m going to enjoy our tourist’s stay.”
